Mexico!

So this will be my most special holiday blog so far. This is my most memorable holiday and also my favourite. Th only holiday i tear up about when it crosses my mind. One year for christmas, my main present was a holiday to Mexico.

Ironically enough i took the least photos of this holiday. Maybe i enjoyed it so much, the thought of capturing the memories didn't occur to me, although they will always be vivid in my mind (despite how cheesy that sounds!)

After a looooong journey, we arrived at our Karisma Azul resort near Cancun city.

The resort was very small, with only a few hundred people, and it felt like someone's private house party. I loved it. As soon as you came past the reception, you could pretty much see the beach. The service was incredible! we were approached with drinks (I got a pina colada) and the receptionist sat us down and asked us which type of cushion we would like in our rooms providing mini examples. Then she gave us various sprays for us to choose from which would be the scent of our room and even essential oils that they would put on our pillow (I had lavender, it was just dreamy).

This was the main pool however a few days after we had arrived we discovered a huge pool which we pretty much had to ourselves everyday. Cool right?

Every morning if you are prepared to get up early enough ( and we're talking 6.00 A.M -- on holiday) then you could witness a golden sunrise with its gentle rays glimmering across the rocking sea. Just picture it.

And of course my favourite thing...The truly stunning sea. This photo was taken by me when we were on our way to an excursion to an island filled with massive crabs and lizards. Wonderous birds and colourful fish.
